On the subject of Types of Post.

In the mire of the "Sports" Subreddit you will occasionally see someone dare to post a sport highlight that is neither American, nor Soccer. There is a particular brand of commenter who always replies "I WILL NEVER UNDERSTAND THIS!", even though the video will be something like a cricket highlight where "a batter hits the ball in the air, and the ball is caught, and therefore the batter is out" just like in baseball.

It's important to understand these people aren't viewing the video, and being shocked that they can't understand what's going on.

Rather, it is a mantra they repeat to themselves for the purity of their souls. "Not understanding cricket" is a core part of their identity. And they can feel the tendrils of comprehension entering their mind, and the carrying the corruption that comes with it.

If they allow this cursed knowledge in. Soon they will be understanding that "in Australian Rules Football, the team with the highest score wins" or have awareness that "in Rugby you have to put the ball on the ground in the end zone to score."

They made a moba/dota third person shooter (ala Gigantic, Battleborn, Super Monday Night Combat, Predecessor, Battlerite, REVN, NEXUS, Overpower, SMITE, Grimoire:Manastorm, etc etc etc)

It is indistinguishable from every other moba shooter and looks like discount overwatch. It plays exactly like all of them do, but mostly it plays exactly like dota except shooting. It is the most conservative, safe, 10-years-late-to-the-genre attempt at bludgeoning their way into an already firmly established space imaginable. I cannot imagine having infinite money and choosing to spend it on developing this.

also the single match I played - ONE match - lasted 50 minutes, which is perhaps the way it is most like dota (in addition to it being exactly like dota in every other way)

TLDR: unity is 100% committed to the runtime fee, they claim their primary customers are happy with it, and they see mobile ad-monetized games as the primary audience for the game engine going forward.

I don't see anything here that suggests they understand why indies would be spooked, or that they've been displeased with the instability of the engine for a long time. This all amounts to a big, red, flashing "stay away" as far as I'm concerned.
